Biography
Courtney E. Mann is a devoted personal injury lawyer who focuses on helping and advocating for individuals and families harmed by others. Her passion for helping people began as a child by shadowing her Mom, a labor and delivery nurse, on the hospital floor. There, Courtney saw firsthand the profound impact of skilled, heartfelt care — and she carries that commitment into her legal practice today. Courtney’s passion for helping others is what drives every decision, for every client. She is a firm believer that everyone deserves representation of the highest quality, and that no one suffering from injuries should have to go through the process alone.
Courtney grew up across Alabama and Florida before attending the University of Central Florida, majoring in Legal Studies to pursue her goal of a legal career. When deciding where she wanted to plant her own roots, Courtney chose to relocate to her Mom’s home state of North Carolina and earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Charlotte School of Law. Courtney has been a “Charlottean” for over 15 years and considers North Carolina her community and home.
Courtney is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and is actively involved with North Carolina Advocates for Justice (“NCAJ”). Believing in NCAJ’s mission of fighting for justice and fairness for all North Carolinians, she has dedicated her extra time over the last several years by volunteering within the organization and serving in leadership. Currently, Courtney is a member/leader of the Auto Torts & Premise Liability section, the Women’s Caucus, and serves on the Education committee. She was selected as a member of the inaugural class of NCAJ’s NEXT Leadership Program in 2021-2022, and is also active within NCAJ’s legislative program, wherein members of the organization are leading the charge to make connections and build relationships with our Legislators in Raleigh, all with the goal of bettering the lives of North Carolinians across the state. Along with serving as an Education chair with NCAJ to create programming, she herself teaches Continuing Learning Education courses, focusing on personal injury litigation and health insurance plans. She has been selected to the North Carolina Super Lawyers® Rising Star list every year since 2022, along with receiving yearly recognition with Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America since 2024.
Courtney understands that every person and client is different, and should be celebrated as such, and it shines through both her personal and professional life. She cherishes connecting with her clients’ unique backgrounds to ensure they feel understood and supported. In her free time, she continues to explore North Carolina’s coast and other countries abroad, all in search of her next favorite meal.
